Daito Manabe

Daito Manabe is a Japanese artist, designer, programmer, DJ, VJ & composer, who just seems to be able to bend at will the use of technology as an artistic element. His programming skills are impressive to say the least, which are incorporated and put to use in a variety of different projects, installations and collaborations.

Below are a few examples of his work.

How good is that song in the last video? It says in the video’s description and comments that the track is by Ametsub, but that it cannot be found anywhere for download, as it was composed exclusively for the show. Maybe Jakub can find a way to get a hold of that track…? I want it. Bad.

Space Jam Illustrations

Andrea Manzati is an Italian graphic designer and illustrator. This space travel series was created for Fast Company and was displayed as full page illustrations. Andrea Manzati’s style reminds me a little bit of Ben Newman and Matthew Lyons’.

Actress + 18 Carat Affair + Kyson

I’ve been digging deep into Actress’ sound for a while but after looping some of the newer cuts off his recent album R.I.P. i’ve found a small connection between his work and what I think the newer Heathered Pearls material might become especially in the tracks selected. The decay and hiss added makes tracks like Ascending so damn beautiful.

If you’re on Soundcloud 18 Carat Affair is a must follow because he’s always giving away his work and recent experiments.

The new Kyson EP Patience came out today, full of delicate dub, the first track is free to download below.
