I haven’t done a mix since 2005’s Pink Rest At Low Levels which you can download here, its an ambient/IDM mix of my favorite music I’d listened to when I would fool around in Adobe Illustrator. This new mix called Goodnight Gracie is kind of an ode to a weekly I did for 3+ years with Matthew Dear, Ryan Elliott, and Scott Brandon at a lounge called Goodnight Gracie in Ann Arbor. Ryan Elliott and Matthew Dear now are big international DJ’s and Scott and I took the night over once they started touring. Ryan would let me open nearly every night and play ambient and deep melodic house before they went on so I could hear Broker/Dealer on decent speakers, I hope you can at least enjoy the end.

When I’m rich enough and I have a kickass party at my place, I’m seriously flying you out to DJ all night (perhaps all day… LA kids don’t know how to party). That Slowdive song is one of my faves. I’m pretty sure we can fix America’s financial crisis with more mixes like this.

this is insane man, listened to it all weekend…. the cover is cool, but could definitely use a strong type treatment. I’d also like to see some more noise added to the top, or just to see the original noise defined a bit more. Right now, it’s almost like a TV type effect but the blurring had smoothed over a lot of it.

Overall a fantastic mix (found it as a link on astrangelyisolatedplace.com – gotta give em props). There is one vocal track that doesnt fit with the rest of the erie warm/ambient feel but overall a very enjoyable mix. Great organic flow from track to track and excellent track selection and editing. Now if there would only be a way to get a high quality CD version of a mix such as this so that I can enjoy it on my stereo system and not my mp3 player only… Cheers and Keep it up!
