Araabmuzik mixtape

You may have heard the buzz about Araabmuzik, I guess he’s just a kid from Harlem that posted himself playing on the MPC on youtube and grabbed the attention on some Top 40 rappers. I personally just like to watch him play the hi-hats for 7 minutes but I thought i’d share this mixtape with you just as a change of pace on the blog, #thuggish_mondays.

I love the way playing on a MPC influences a track. Good stuff. Wish I could break dance.

Yeah lots of buzz around him right now… He’s actually from Providence, RI. Love the kitschy sound and over the top samples.

I’m actually not enjoying the album that much since i’m not that into trance and neo-club music but this mixtape came out pretty great

He’s been (one of?) Dipset’s in-house producers for 3 or 4 years now, IIRC.

super dope for the first couple minutes, but gimmicky after that. the lack of variation in drum sounds, grooves, and beat patterns makes this get old kinda quick. they are bangers tho, no doubt about that. just not sure i wanna see him tap them out live for 25 mins.

ive ran into his videos a few times while youtubing exile and other mpc stuff. super talented guy.
