No words. Just dive in.
But honestly, The Beat Broker can do no wrong. Somehow this man can catch emotion thats floating in a breeze and redirect it into a mix.

Posted up this mix I did for a house party last week. Happy 4th!
I try not to set too many guidelines when I put together a new mix, this one for Self-Titled Mag had a theme though which was remixes that weren’t dancefloor based. Over the years i’ve kept small playlists of tracks to use during mixes, tracks that I like to listen to when I work, or tracks that i’ll play out, this is definitely a home/work listen in a quiet space. I hope you all enjoy, remember Dettinger and Echospace are two of the most underrated music projects for relaxation, I couldn’t imagine my collection of music without them.
“‘Pouring Embers’ is a continuous 10-song playlist of remixes that might be overlooked because they aren’t dancefloor based. If I picked dancefloor favorite remixes this mix would have been for peak hour Berghain in Berlin or some cozy Scandinavian sea voyage. These deconstructions and reworks all have a certain concentration to them, a focus on release and a wandering curiosity because they explored the sounds that were given to them of a song that most likely picked out, that breakdown has always been fascinating compared to realigning percussion.”

Scott and I did a mix for Herschel Supply’s Selected Sounds series. The tracks came together pretty naturally, some of our favorite artists to just tracks that help slow you down and enjoy the some tunes. Also, I did a short interview answer on how I find all the music I post on the blog here.

Roman Flügel is quickly becoming a legend, his last 10 years have been covered everything from a #1 dance single to running the successful Playhouse label and everything you can imagine in-between.
In this mix he rides in the weird world of minimal acid to deep spacey jack, a perfect opportunity to get a taste of what the late night brings out in a carefully crafted experienced German DJ.
Trying to leave you all with something perfect for the weekend, probably the best go to is Classixx, the most trusted remixers and DJs in the last 5 years. Judging on the recent artwork i’ve seen they might have the best branding for a music in 2013.

I don’t want to say this was the golden years for this style of music but it kind of was, there was this honesty to it, producers weren’t doing it to share it or to become famous, there was an orb of innocence to it. Note the freedom of not being given some sort of build but instead you get pauses with detailed ambience, soo pleasant.
