These images are taken from a 1970’s era Chinese poster series entitled “Modernization Cannot Be Achieved Without Energy” (click for full versions). I love this illustration style; particularly the technical diagrams. I’m not sure if you can still score any copies, but they were for sale at The East is Red.

This seriously made my day. I love these so much. The illustration style is right on for me and of course the color palette is amazing.
Reminds me of these Chinese space centre photos (that I still can’t work out if they’re a real place or staged or something else!)

these are amazing!
what an awesome find, scott. love ’em.
Not sure how many they have, but I just put in an order for all six of them. I love them so much. I am going to have them framed nicely for my office. I think I might try and find some good Beijing Olympics posters to join them.
I always amazed and amused me how capitalists would make fun of the PRC propaganda posters, as if Jackson Pollock had anything better to say. Chinese revolutionary posters are high art. The Red Detachment of Women is a masterpiece, on par to Swan Lake and Giselle, in its own century. I dont condone the gang of 4, but the art of the period was simply awesome.
