Clams / Instra:mental / G. Fitz / Grizzly Bear

Probably the most beautiful of all the Clams Casino instrumentals in my opinion, once I finished listening to it I realized what his sound was because before I just thought he was an Art Of Noise jacker.

Sometimes its all about the simplicity and the middle bit like this Instra:mental remix of Mount Kimbie, not a new release but one worth going back too.

Soo impressed by this new cut from George Fitzgerald, all the right pieces to make a proper ode to Detroit and Chicago Techno.

New Grizzly Bear was a surprise, they’re channeling something here, more of a man rock feel but with great experimental expressions, thoughts?

really digging this new grizzly bear, although i dont really see it as a departure from anything i would expect. perhaps a bit more attitude, but the chord progressions and atmosphere are fantastic as always. you guys should check out Daniel Rossen’s new EP on Warp (the main songwriter/singer in GB). it’s superb.

  14. digging this post!
but i’m not digging the new “RSVP” bright white buttons. make those blend in with the background nicely and it’ll be back to perfect.

also, been visiting the blog more on my iphone now that i can listen to the sweet jams!

I’m hearing only a small, natural evolution for Grizzly Bear on this track. If their earlier work compared favorably to the Pet Sounds-era Beach Boys, this compares to early Crosby Stills & Nash – a little more folksy, a little more free-form – which makes perfect sense in the arc of music history.

    Love it.
