Designed by John Maniscalco Architecture and resting on the hillside of San Francisco’s Cole Valley, this residence is a revitalization of a 1930’s home into a more relaxing, modern masterpiece. It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac where the first thing you see while approaching is an exceptional use of planked wood siding and black steel.

Wow, this is truly awesome.
I like the design of the outside, but the interior is too bland. It needs either darker wood on some trimming or some charcoal grey fabrics.
shelby, thank you for the wanken site, i found the north on sixty guys through it and i’m glad i did.
Damn, there used to be something there that was built in the ’30s? And they replaced it with that cookie-cutter Dwell Magazine BS? For shame.
I’m with you, EG20, the outside is dope. I’m not sure why they didn’t go with something a little more creative for the interior. Tons of potential, though…
amazing house
Love it, nice to have so much light in a house.
Not only is this house awesome, but they’re watching ‘In Bruges’. Any chance they’re renting a room? ok, great, thanks.

It’d be nice if they had a white roof rather than a black one, to save energy. Other than that, it’s lovely!
awesome. nothing more to say! good inspiration for my future project. need to find a place to build my home soon!
