I love Giorgio’s comparison of a DJ to a conductor, in which the audience is part of the performance and the DJ is at the front, controlling the amount of energy. It explains the popularity of the “four on the floor” ‘genre’ which we see in a large portion of modern music. It’s not necessarily the musicality that matters, it’s the 2 and the 4 which makes everyone move at the exact same time. As Giorgio says “even I could go in a [Discotech?] and dance, it’s the 1..2..3..4, you have to dance.”
I cannot wait for this album.
gosh, I keep thinking that daft punk can’t get cooler or more stylish. I keep getting proved wrong. The 15 second clip commercials, the collaborators, and now these documentaries?
Can’t wait to hear the synth sounds that they’ve been slaving over.
