This is either absolutely brilliant, or absolutely insane. Either way it’s great. It’s a video and remix of Radiohead’s Nude featuring some nice shots of vintage machines and seemingly composed mostly of sounds from those machines. Update: here’s a Vimeo link to the video.
Update #2: Radiohead posted about the video on their blog today. Congrats James! (thanks joe for the link)

Wow! I made this!!! I visit ISO-50 daily, and it’s really surreal seeing it on here!! I feel kinda nervous, and excited at the same time.
Also, it’s composed entirely by sounds of those machines, although the Hard Drives are just speakers – so I guess that might be cheating a bit.
i vote for brilliant. – now i’m off to go research hard drive speakers.
Its brilliant as always when it comes to Radiohead, I wanna see them play it live 😀
it’s great live hugo!
but what the frig are hard drive speakers? i’m perplexed…
Nice!
Glad to see it got posted! I caught this online this morning and sent it to Scott before I left for work.
Nice work man.
Oh god you posted my site…
I really need to take that down… I’m coding a new one at the moment.
i think that is really beautiful. good work james.
Conclusion: Brilliant.
Don’t really know why but this video made me cry a bit 🙂 Really surreal, nostalgic and poetic at the same time…
Insanely brilliant, I’d say. It’s got shit-loads of rhythm!
Awesome Friday viewing
This is by far the best thing I have seen this year. Completely blown away by it.
Insanely brilliant by a long shot and really inspiring to see someone to put the time and effort into something as technical and imaginative.
10/10 🙂
James, do you have a .mp3 of that kicking around? I’d very much like to get hold of one.
yeah, I am definitely voting for brilliant….. Insanely brilliant sounds about right Jakub. The more I watch this the better it gets, I am somehow getting a Tim & Eric vibe from parts of this, I love the still frames of the product labels and the “Hard Drive Speakers” tape tag.
check out radiohead’s blog! This got Johnny and Colin Greenwood’s attention.
