I’m getting sick of my iTunes album covers screensaver, thinking about purchasing this Dropclock.
“DROPCLOCK is an aesthetically intriguing motion clock screensaver. Every minute of real time is numerically expressed with heavy Helvetica dropping into water in super slow-motion.”
I wonder if dropclock thanks Yugop for the inspiration. Yugop had several screensavers similar to this about 8 years ago. Pretty nice though!
oh my this is awesome!
It’s a shame that it’s only 720p, and that it doesn’t use interpolation when upscaling. It still looks good from a distance of course, but not quite the quality I’d expect from a $15 screensaver. A few different takes of each number would have been nice as well, then they’d have a sure deal.
Deeeeeyuum, I need this.
However, I agree with Simon.
Pretty old but definitely awesome.
Bought it because it was so amazingly beautiful (as you noticed). I ended up only using it for a week or two because it was so insanely system-intensive. For example, when I would move my mouse or otherwise try to turn off the screen saver, it usually took between 10 and 20 seconds for the computer to respond.
As beautiful as it was, it just wasn’t practical for me. Who knows, maybe you’ll have better luck. (I’m on a 2GHz Mac Pro with 16GB of RAM and a SSD for a primary hard drive.)
Here’s hoping!
It definitely is very resource intensive, mostly due to being a 720p flash video file. I suggest you check out Polar Clock among nice screensavers http://blog.pixelbreaker.com/polarclock

watch this video listening to daft punk-end of line. A whole new perspective on this screensaver.
hi, i was listening to the “daft punk – the game has changed” and watching this screen saver you’ve posted here. awesome feeling!!
I’ve had this screensaver for a few years and I think it’s my favorite. The concept is great, the video is beautiful, I love Helvetica.
Wish it was now redone at a higher rez and implemented in [not flv].
Good to see Jakub is a keen ffffound.com follower!
