Had to share this, here is 5 seconds of every #1 song in chart history until 1992. I had to start with Part 2 because it started with Down Under but Part 1 is here.

haha awesome! 😀
wow I keep getting happy for 5 seconds, then bummed it ends, then immediately happy again.
This is great! Although, I hate to be cynical, but I wish the songs were mixed together so it was more of a 30 minute song of songs, than a remix.
Still an amazing idea and project. It’s crazy as you can almost tell within a couple of songs when the 80s had started, haha!
kind of surprised about the amount of fine young cannibals.
apparently phil collins crushed the 80s.
Luke DuBois’ piece is much better than this, creating ambience out of an amalgam of all number one hits.
let’s hear it for the boy totally got short shrift here. far less than the full five seconds it deserves!
Cool. A “Part 3” from 1992 until today would also be nice (yes, with all those boygroup hits and stuff)
I would love to hear a version where each song got one second for each week it charted #1
how about the #1 of what used to be called “college radio” charts? maybe get some better tunes that way.
