I was really excited to see this ad campaign by Panamericana School of Art and Design, to me it shows how much further you should push yourself be it making music, design, video, etc. I remember early in school you’d usually take the first idea you had that the teacher ok’d and ran with it but the older and older I become the more I steer away from even my first 10 ideas I come up with on a project, I know then that it might form into something a bit more unique.

Brilliant idea.
I’m a little scared to try it..
So inspiring!
In the ‘X’ one, I love the Golden ration, and the wood drawing model as a puppet. There’s some fun concepts in there.
When I was taking classes, one of my final projects was similar in that I had to come up with 100 thumbnail designs (sketches) for the same thing. Those were the days…haha.
Now that I think of it, wouldn’t you already have to have been through design school to understand this? Nonetheless, us designers can appreciate it! 🙂
There was a great video on ted.com with an exercise similar to this, where you have 30 seconds to make as many things out of a circle as you can. This is a great exercise.
this is a great campaign for an art/design school. Very inventive!
Hello! i’m from a small town in the center of Argentina, my english is poor but i will try write a comment
This post remember me when i made a initial course at the university (I studied Advertising), remember that the professor gave me a paper with hundreds circles and crosses. they probe my creativity in my first class, was so difficult but very funny 😉 and is incredible that could arise so many ideas of such a simple figure
This is a fantastic idea!! I think it looks very fun, challenging, and inspiring. I want to try it!!
Do it, Elizabeth. I think what I learned from a similar exercise is that you have to draw stuff out, no matter how simple the concept, to really know if something works. Sometimes the silliest, simplest stuff makes the most sense and you would’ve never considered it unless you were forced to fill space with everything and anything you could think of. 🙂
this is brilliant! LONG LIVE CREATIVITY!
