I’m glad you archived playlist 9, too, I got it running a good numbers of time!
Have you ever thought of an ISO50 playlist iphone app? make it happen.
And my favorite song on this playlist might be Bloc Party’s Tulips…even though…they’re all super good.
Ooh, love it! My favorite track is Soft Powers – Just Like , it’s so sweet!
Its all good! but i prefer dj shadow’s erase you (count alt’s mix) i’m a sucker for drums 🙂
The song by Junip is a really good tune. Is that José Gonzalez’s voice?
My favorite track off this Playlist-10 is The Helio Sequence – Back to This. Not only is this a great track but their whole album deserves a good listen.
Loving Peter Broderick – Pulling The Rain. It’s very calm, stress relieving. Thank you man.
Oriol. Coconut Coast. Its radness transcends space and time.
this is tough. i really like this playlist. i’m gonna go with Film School-P.S. i haven’t heard it in a while and i’ve fallen in love all over again.
The day I appear on one of these playlists, is the day I can die a happy man!
Hmmmm… they’re all rad, but the layered swirling reverbed guitars in P.S. by Film School gets me everytime.
My favorite track is Mark Mcguire’s Brain Storm (For Erin).
Thanks for making the mix.
The DJ Shadow tune is my fav. Rad drums.
seams – hung markets is realy cool, love the beats, the balance and smoothness
Junip
I really enjoyed :
Stewart Walker – Benstrumental
Tapes ‘n Tapes – Conquest
Seams – Hung Markets
Hope I win!
I like.
There’s a few here that are amazing like ‘Working for a Nuclear City.’
But I’ll have to say Seams as i saw him supporting Toro Y moi in Cardiff and both were outstanding live.
There’s a few here that are amazing like ‘Working for a Nuclear City.’
But I’ll have to say Seams as i saw him supporting Toro Y moi in Cardiff and both were outstanding live.
Im definitely gonna have to say Lovelock – Pino Grigio. Never heard these guys before today, so thank you for introducing me!
Neil
I’m gonna go with “Working For A Nuclear Free City – Quiet Place”
Love it.
I really wish there was a way of listening to your playlists on my iPhone since it’s my primary gateway to the Internet. I don’t have home Internet to save money.
My favourite track is Junip “Rope and Summit”.
I like the artwork for PL10.
Some really good track on that playlist, hard to pick a favorite. I always been a big fan of The Field, but i gotta say that the Matthew Dear track is just amazing! My pic of the list, really loving the ambient texture in the background!
I always enjoy finding new music here. Thanks for sharing.

✓ Above Your Head -Anoraak
✓ Pino Grigio -Lovelock
✓ Tower -Benoit Pioulard
✓ Benstrumental -Stewart Walker
✓ Yo La Tengo -Summer Sun
“Spring Break” by Atlas Sound
it is refreshing track after a weekend long of bad club music.
Benoit Pioulard’s ‘Tower’ takes it for me.
Thanks for another great playlist.
I remember hearing Tapes N’ Tapes’ Conquest for the first time, and I immediately loved it. Although all the selections are great, really!
The Walkmen – Woe Is Me
The Helio Sequence – Back to This
Anoraak – Above Your Head
Gonjasufi – Candylane (Bibio Remix)
^ hell yes
🙂 every playlist you guys make is always like a breath of fresh air i know most of the songs just happy its put together like so <3
Gonna have to say at first glance, my favorite might be the re-inclusion of that Rice Twins remix of The Radio Dept.’s David.
The whole list is ace. For me though, it’s Bloc Party. They were the first band I ever saw live, and that song will forever bring back memoires.
Love that Desire Lines by Deerhunter. Fantastic riffs.
Awesome selection! It’s hard to pick a favourite, but right now I’m loving “Above Your Head” by Anoraak.
Great playlist!
I really can’t choose one favorite, but Yo La Tengo’s “Beach Party Tonight” is really doing it for me right now.
bloc party is my outstanding favourite! i just listen to this song and wanna see mountains growing!
Thanks for putting a new and awesome playlist together.
My favorite track is going to be “Woe Is Me (NPR World Cafe Session)” by The Walkmen. I’m glad that you’ve added one of my all time favorite bands to a playlist.
Minks – Ophelia
Definitely Mark McGuire – Brain Storm for me, I’ve been hooked!
Deerhunter on a strong runner up.
Lovely playlist, it’s gonna (like it’s predeccesors) get me through alot of days at work.
Yo La Tengo – Beach Party Tonight
DJ Shadow – Erase You [Count alt mix]
Thank you for another playlist! These are always incredible.
I’m going to have to go with Working For a Nuclear Free City. Businessmen and Ghosts is probably my favorite album of all time but I never see them get any love.
I’ve got to say that I’m a big fan of ‘Above Your Head’ by Anoraak.
Thanks for the playlists! They’re awesome!
Peter Broderick!! finally, I’ve waiting for him to be on a playlist!
Olafur Arnalds on the next one, perhaps?
People Can Do The Most Amazing Things has been stuck in my head for a while. Such a great tune.
Lovelock – Pino Grigio, I actually had to pause from work to see what was playing. nice track.
Big fan of ‘Junip – Rope and Summit”
Ride on. Great Playlist. Gonna go with Tapes n Tapes. It was a good one to start my monday morning to. Thanks!
Minks – Ophelia
I saw Rope and Summit on there and promised myself I wouldn’t choose it, but that’s exactly what I’m going to do. An aside, did you guys get my email a while back?
Oriol all the way! I also like the breakdown sequence in the Candylane remix.
Mark McGuire – Brain
It illicited an emotional response that I wasn’t ready to admit to. I’m still not ready.
I´m currently listening to Benoit Pioulard´s track and so far everything´s been great:-) But to pick one track from the playlist I love the most, it has to be “People Can Do The Most Amazing Things” by Kisses – what an amazing track & album!
The capital H Handclappin’ goodness of Candylane by Gonjasufi (via Bibio)
I like The Walkmen – Woe is me.
la gente puede hacer cosas asombrosas! como besarse entre ellos.
playlist 10 its awesome!!
kisses to everybody. : J
Loving this playlist, I agree with Philip that Oriol – Coconut Coast is both rad and transcendent
Love “working for a nuclear free city”
oriol – coconut coast
The Helio Sequence track, “Back To This” is great.
Favourite tracks would have to be
Kisses “People Can Do The Most Amazing Of Things” and
Peter Broderick’s “Pulling The Rain”
My favorite is easily Mark McGuire – Brain Storm.
It is such an entrancing tune.
It’s a tie between The Helio Sequence – Back to This, and Bloc Party – Tulips (Club Version) which is actually the Minotaur Shock Remix.
I love n# 1 (Working For A Nuclear Free City – Quiet Place) it is so the type of music “I” would make.
Love the playlists!!! And my fave from this one is Mark McGuire’s “Brain Storm (For Erin)”. Loved it!
Thanks for the great music!
Love that “Games – Everything Is Working”. So smooth.
Crushin’ hard on Kisses, friend.
Yup, thank you for the great playlists as always!
It’s gotta be the Games track. Hands down.
DJ Shadow – Erase You [Count alt mix]
Lovin the whole Anoraak album! The video for “Above your head” is cool too.” Nce lil selection of tunes. Keep em coming!
Hard to decide, I might have said Kisses, but I think my latest most favorite would have to be Mark McGuire. Been on repeat for ages.
Just love that Tapes N Tapes track. Conquest kinda rocks my socks.
‘Caroline’ by The Field. Thanks, guys.
My favorite track on this list is “Everything is Working” by Games. Such a nice break to hear something like this.
I listened to all tracks. I enjoyed all of them but I think I really dig Minks – OPHELIA. I love the smooth track and it kinda has a hint of 80’s. Also the chorus is awesome! Nice playlist!
Kisses, definitely Kisses. Thanks for the playlist!
Seems like I’m the only one (so far) enjoying The Dining Rooms’ Cosi Ti Amo. Very atmospheric tune. (Oh, and btw – wonderful selection!)
Hi! Thanks for the playlist!! My favourite track is Peter Broderik – Pulling The Rain. It’s the perfect soundtrack for today.
Mmm… Gonjasufi’s Candylane has got me in the mood
So hard to choose one! My favorites are:
– Lovelock
– Anoraak
– Soft Powers
I haven’t heard that Bloc Party song in so long. Pretty sure I have it on vinyl somewhere.
Favorite song – The Dining Rooms: Cosi Ti Amo …you guys snuck that in there. Great choice.
I went through the entire list, while working on a visual piece for tomorrow’s meeting in uni and the tracks were very pleasant to listen to, not distracting at all. I have to agree Pakendo, Pulling the Rain does it for me as well.. as I type this I’m on iTunes, checking mr. Broderick’s music.
Thanks for sharing.
Soooooooo much good stuff here but my personal favorite of the moment is “Hung Markets” from Seams.
Like the Minks-ophelia track. Has a Billy Idol “eyes without a face” feel to it.
Top: Matthew Dear, More Surgery.
Thanks
it’s gotta be “Lovelock.” i’m livin in sf now, went to your show at the mez, super stoked. thx for the grooves!
I am enamored with Brain Storm (for erin)
These songs compiled of vibrant ideas and artistic melodies are so stimulating.. to say the least.
For me it’s Benoit Pioulard’s “Tower”… ’cause, damn it’s good.
it has to be The Radio Dept. – David (Rice Twins remix)
best wishes!
Love Peter Broderick – Pulling The Rain.
Well…maybe I’ve changed my mind…the Gonjasufi track is great too!
thus far, my fav is The Helio Sequence – Back to This; but things may change after a few hundred more listens………
Liking the coherent vibe of this selection.
For me, Stewart Walker’s Benstrumental talked nicely to my soul.
Cheers.
Gonjasufi – Candylane (Bibio Remix)
I reallly love this play list!!!! So good!!!
U must listen to Bon Iver and his song For Emma,For Ever Ago… I hope u enjoy it!
Never heard the deerhunter track before, and i have to say the deerhunter track. Desire Lines.
My favorite has to be Working for a Nuclear Free City-Quiet Place, not because it’s the first on the list, but because it’s definitely one of the more beautiful songs I’ve heard in a while.
It was a hard pick, though. This is a great playlist.
Great playlist, just cycled it a few times whilst working on a project. Tuff to pick a favorite, but I really lent towards The Field – Caroline. Most of my art is done to soft beats like this, which remind me a lot of the Tycho jams. Easy to lose myself through it, all good tracks though!
Mark McGuire – Brain Storm. What a discovery, thank you so much for that.
I have been looking for a song like Junip- Rope And Summit for my entire life without really realizing it. What a beautiful beautiful song.
The Helio Sequence – “Back To This”
I actually have been listening to WFNFC for at least a year or two. A great band, and you hit the nail on the head with my favorite “Quite Place”.
But there were many more I was happy to hear. This playlist seems a bit more fitting to ISO50 right now. There needed to be some kind of change.
favorite is JUNIP rope & summit.
Peter Broderick – Pulling the Rain.
[mostly because I’m a piano geek. This set, more than any other, has no single standout tracks that I wanted to play over and over; rather there were simply no bad tracks. I want to play the whole set over and over.]
thanks for the playlist holmes! i am convinced that new music exposure somehow bends the fabric of time and speeds up the work day for designers. really like working for a nuclear free city, deerhunter, and of course the dining rooms.
I have loved finding new music on this site for over three years now. So much, that I was inspired recently to start a website and share music with my friends in a similar fashion.
However, I must share that I came across a new experience with this recent play list: there is a song on there that I’ve been treasuring for a couple years now. Like I said, I am typically introduced to new music on this site, which is always the fun. And I’m usually thinking JEEZE why haven’t I heard this sooner? But to hear a track so close to the heart on someone else’s play list really hit the spot today.
So today I choose ‘Back to This’ by Helio Sequence. Loved the album ‘Keep Your Eyes Ahead’. While on a road trip to California in the spring of ’09, I will always remember driving out of Las Vegas and onto that desert highway with ‘Back to This’ on our playlist, while the colors at dusk faded into the night. One of those moments where the song will always remind me of the scenery, and the scenery will always remind me of the song.
Thank you for sharing music again!
-Dan P.M. Harris
I really like “Working For A Nuclear Free City – Quiet Place”. But the entire tracklist is very good!!!
nice selection folks. I can’t help it but the Dining Rooms track Costi Ti Amo gets me every time. That break and sample are super catchy!
The Walkmen with that retro surf guitar and snare drum are a great sound. Perfect for a small club performance with a beer in hand tapping your toe. Great plalist. Thank you.
Introducing an “Buy this list” button would save me a great deal of time.
“Cough, Wink”
Regards.
ive been waiting for a new mix from this blog, and its really weird that aarino helped because ive been listening to his stuff lately
I’ll go for “The Field – Caroline”, always enjoy some fine acid aura once in a while. 🙂
Awesome playlist! Made my day – again.
My favourite track will have to go to Junip’s Rope & summit.
I choose Bloc party – Tulips. Thanks for another great playlist!
Listening to PL10 since yesterday and my favorite is changing by the hour.
Right now: DJ Shadow – Erase You [Count alt mix]
Mark McGuire – Brain Storm (For Erin)
Was listening to the playlist while coding this morning at work and when this song came on, I stopped and listened from start to finish. Then went to amazon to purchase the album ‘Living with Yourself.’ This is a brilliant track.
Tough to pick a favorite, but I’d go with that Count Alt mix of DJ Shadow’s Erase You as my favorite out of this fantastic playlist.
Gonjasufi – Candylane (Bibio Remix)
As per usual, you have posted music that fits the needs of my morning perfectly. Thanks again.
Wow, what a playlist. Lots of new favourites here!
Right now i think my favourite is Gonjasufi – Candylane (bibio mix)
Atlas Sound – Spring Break!
Very trippy stuff, great for those long late night Photoshop sessions.
You guys always find the coolest music – thanks for the inspiration!
-Will
Anoraak – Above Your Head
That ‘Reading Rainbow’ synth is outstanding.
I’ve loved Anoraak since ‘Nightdrive with You’ and this track really shows how much he’s improving.
Thanks for turning me onto it.
This is excellent. Thank you. I could have picked any number of these tracks as my favorite but I’m going to go with Bloc Party b/c I had somehow overlooked this particular mix of “Tulips” and it’s an instant classic.
Tapes n Tapes – Conquest
DRUUUHHHHHHMMMMMMZ! Aiya!
I haven’t listened to Tapes n Tapes in ages and suddenly I remember why they are so awesome!
Such a great mix!
excellent playlist, as usual!
I’m going to go with Dining Rooms – Costi ti amo — great for getting into a mellow but productive mood
The Walkmen song definitely made an impact on me, I hadn’t heard that one before. Awesome tune, and great playlist otherwise.
Benoit Pioulard – Tower
Love his work. “Tower” is so fluid and light. Very playful and creates a great atmosphere.
Gonjasufi – Candylane (Bibio Remix)
Nothing more soothing or inspiring then a dose of down-tempo Dining Rooms. Great PL!
btw the song from
Benoit Pioulard
its Tack and Tower instead of Tower
I’m guessing Scott contributed the DJ Shadow track…I’ve never really been super into DJ Shadow…but damn. This is fucking great.
forgot the email 🙂
Benoît Pioulard – Tower
benstrumental…hands down.
One can never go wrong with a little Peter Broderick
Most definitely Junip. It took me 4 listens to get to the next song in the playlist.
listen to the playlist for 3 times in a row to carefully select and give other music chances. but in the end, still pick mark mcguire – brain storm (for erin) as my fav. first thought, best thought. haha!
2. working for a nuclear free city – quiet place
tht’s it.
any chance of you making this available for download? would love to have a copy.
Easy. I love that Soft Powers track “Just Like Tropica-L”. They were my jam this summer. They gave away so much free music! Looking forward to a full length (and hopefully better designed album art).
Junip – Rope and Summit
Juni’s album is super!
Thanks for this new ISO50 Playlist, I’ve been waiting for it 🙂
Peter Broderick – Pulling the Rain
I like this song because the way the artist plays the piano is very strong, but has very smooth transitions. Its very well done and is something i like to listen to on a snowy day in the near future.
Great playlist as per usual!
have to say the stand-outs for me are:
Kisses – People Can Do The Most Amazing Things
Lovelock – Pino Grigio
love everything about this site, keep up the amazing work!
you pulled an AMAZING, blissfull and truly inspiring playlist!!!!
i have to say that the helio sequence track is just simply gorgeous!!!!!!!
Gonjasufi!!!!
How do you not love Anoraak’s Above Your Head? Vocals might not always be smooth but the mix definitely blends smoothly with my ears titillating with pleasure.
Loving the Anoraak track, for sure.
Mark McGuire with “Brain Storm” to my own mood collection
Lovelock are too ) Sorry for spam
Really digging the Bibio remix of Gonjasufi, fantastic stuff
Gonjasufi-Candylane (Bibio Remix) is so damn awesome ;o
Been hearing ‘Deerhunter-Desire LInes’ over and over in my head since hearing it! Definitely gets my vote.
Thanks for posting these playlist guys — I recommend this blog all the time!

Belle & Sebastian – I didn’t see it coming
Great stuff as always. My favorite was Benoit Pioulard – Tower.
Junip- Rope and summit. I love how the vibe of the album, fields, relates to the artwork. Currently spinning on the deck…
Saving the best for last? Love that Peter Broderick track.
DJ Shadow’s Erase You is the shiznitz.
I was hoping for a new playlist … and lo, my wish came true!
Great work Scott & Aarnio, thanks!
Favorite this time is The Radio Dept. track … dunno why, maybe just my mood 😉
I can hardly pick one favorite, so here are three:
Benoit Pioulard – Tower (who was absolutely lovely Monday night in Brooklyn)
Kisses – People Can Do The Most Amazing Things
Deerhunter – Desire Lines
Thank you once again for a great playlist, I always look forward to these.
I’m loving Matthew Dear – More Surgery. Thanks for this!
The playlist is beautiful. You guys never fail.
Even though you’ve introduced me to countless new tunes, some brilliant artists, there’s a crazy nostalgia in hearing the Bloc Party – Tulips (Remix) and remembering how that was my JAM freshman year in high school.
It was a great addition to cap off the Silent Alarm Remixed album, and is a great piece in PL10.
seams – hung markets
it has a good beat…almost circular in sound with highlights here and there. precious piece.
My favourite track is for certain the Bibio remix of Gonjasufi! So good.
amazing playlist!
listen it almost everyday!
architects can’t live without such music!
to me mostly loved:
Mark McGuire – Brain Storm (for Erin)
I really am digging the Matthew Dear track! I look forward to every one of these playlists, they are amazing.
I met Seams at a show a few weeks ago and bought his new EP on cassette (not out digitally for a few more weeks I think). I managed to get number 1 of 20! Beautiful music, beautiful cassette.
So much standout music on the mix/blog, keep up the hard work, it really pays off for all of us.
I really love the endless vibe of the atlas sound “spring break” track.
My favorite track is Oriol – Coconut Coast
It’s tough to decide between “More Surgery”, “P.S.”, and the remix of “David”, the whole playlist is very good, as usual!
Pino Grigio – Lovelock,
This song changed my life for the better part of a week 🙂
Loving that Gonjasufi track. Made me go and buy the CD. Loving the yoga infused scraggly voice and beachy retro beats.
It’s probably my speakers but the bass in Working For A Nuclear Free City – Quiet Place is terrible!
My personal favorite is
Gonjasufi – Candylane (Bibio Remix)
I’d have to say Marc Mcguire’s – Brain is harmonizing with my brainwaves these days. Thanks for another playlist, it’s always my go-to for new music. A pleasure.
Awesome playlist as usual.
It’s a coin-flip for me between Deerhunter and The Walkmen, my two favorite releases this year. I’ll go with the Walkmen since it’s not on the album and a new listen.
The Dining Rooms – Costi Ti Amo would have to be my favorite, but the entire playlist is perfect. Your compilations are wonderfully chosen and well assorted. Do go on! I’ve been listening to your playlist for a little over a year now and I hardly tire myself. Voilà!
Secoond Track: QUIET PLACE – working for a nuclear free city
Oh dear its great!
greetings from Munich
Gotta pick Mark McGuire’s “Brain Storm (for Erin).”
The Helio Sequence, Back to This 🙂
I stay with Anoraak – above your head, very moody, makes you keep the hope in a black day,
Somehow it reminds me tycho, for the sounds and composition, it had to be in the playlist.
Junip’s Rope and Summit
oriol – coconut coast, it has everything –
Spectacular, best Play List yet. My pick is Film School, P.S.
Thank you so much for introducing me to so much new music!
hey, is there a way we can download this mixtape? i’d like to put it on my ipod
As is almost the unanimous case, all the tracks range from fantastic to utterly sublime. However, it is Matthew Dear’s ‘More Surgery’ that is hitting all the right spots in my ears.
Thanks for the rad playlist!
I would definitely go with Gonjasufi’s Candylane remixed by Bibio. Love both of them 😉
