I came across a nice cache of Jauna Gaita cover scans on Mikus Vanags’ Flickr. Some of the scans are better quality than the ones on the official JG site which I posted yesterday.

You just made my day. Many of the covers are designed by my grandfather Ilmārs Rumpēters and it’s great to see his work resurface. He’s having a gallery opening here in Riga, Latvia in two weeks so it’s a great coincidence. Cheers for spreading his talent.

Actually I’m meeting up with him in couple of weeks at his gallery opening and will ask him if he’s ok with it. This sounds really good, so keep in touch.
