i dunno ya’ll, i hate to say it but i’m pretty sure we’re looking at dslr work here.
as filmic as it may look, it does have a digitally processed vibe. there’s evidence of heavy photoshop work although the grain is difficult to pin. in some shots it looks digital and in others it’s pretty fine and irregular like film grain. i think the latitude of the low contrasty film stuff could certainly be achieved with a dslr or digital medium format.

Some shots are taken with Canon 1Ds and 5D according to exif data. Lens on the 5D shots seems to be the kit lens, 24-105/4. I’ve seen behind the scenes photos for the gorgeous horse shots for our beloved ATG betting agency. You can see him wielding a Hasselblad H-camera of some kind. Probably with a digital back.
You can see a lot of post process on his shots. Lots of high pass-like halos and so on, but that’s not the point. He’s a great photographer and the rule of “crap in crap out” is always present. His photos are top notch even without the PP.
