Having Mark McGuire venture off to work with others who understand his sound is exactly would I love hearing and i’m sure fans of his and Emeralds couldn’t be more excited of result of this new one.
This Ken Camden song is a lot more playful than the one I posted in the past from the same album, one thing that bums me out though is that the rest of the record doesn’t really hint at this sound again, i’ll take what I can get though.
I hope you know i’m HUGE supporter of Apparat BUT the vocals on this track really do nothing for me, I mean he almost has lost all the excitement that he has built in his style instead I hear a bad Bono sad song, I still love you Apparat.
Really feeling this Tiger & Woods sound, that electric whistle sounding loop is tops.
1st. That photo of the sky is so great but wierd, because on this moment I look outside ,I see the same sky…
2nd,Tiger&the woods track is very doable. Super, thanx.
Hi Jakub, long time listener, occasional poster, just a quick comment to say thanks for all the music contributions on this blog, especially the large curated playlists – my favourite way to discover music! I must have purchased about ten albums from artists which have featured on them, good job!
One small suggestion for the cover art used on either the playlists and blog posts, it would be great to have some attribution for them, be it for the original photo/illustration the cover is based on, or even if it’s your own work. The sky above is beautiful and I’m wondering who snapped/processed it 🙂
I feel the same way about the apparat track :/
Loving the playlists as always, Jakub! I’m a little surprised that the new City Center record hasn’t made it’s way over to the blog yet, I’d highly recommend it! Definitely some of my favorite work from those guys yet.
Really dig the Tiger & Woods!
Actually that whistle reminds me of the whistle in Kool Moe Dee’s ‘Wild Wild West’ good stuff…
Tiger & Woods made my day today! Thanks for that!
That MM album is good, but man, the female vocals are terrible.
