    Not sure what the original was, but I think it might just be an illustration, not an entire typeface. ….The modern equivalent is Mexcellent by Ray Larabie

    The balloons did survive. Currently (August 2008), The Modern Art Museum in Mexico City holds a exhibit with the Graphic Design History of Mexico68 and at the entrance you can find 2 of those balloons. The exhibit is really great, a lot of memorabilia.
