Insect54 has a great Flickr set of 70’s and 80’s Modern Publicity issues. Still waiting to find a stack of something like this in an old closet or at a garage sale, not holding my breath. Where do you find stuff like this anyways? I suppose at this point it’s down to going to shows and swap meets, I doubt there are many gems like this just floating around anymore.

  1. Germany is a place to still find stuff like this in secondhand bookstore or a store alike.

These are really incredible. My jaw actually dropped when I saw the Eight Annual Report…Absolutely beautiful. The use of color and line is just stunning and I love how they use the open space as a window into the world. I would definitely love to run across a pile of these.

  3. I have a few of these, scanned the whole 1972/73
    check it out here

My school library has all of the issues of this book and I’m probably in there at least once a week to check one out. I seriously consider not returning them but I would be charged like $150 (per book) or something crazy so a garage sale or something of the works is probably my best bet…unfortunately.

Just looked at my university’s library catalog and they have the whole series in the depository. Just have to ask them to dig it out for me. NICE.

  7. I find stuf like this via several web sites, and there’s many online bookshop who are selling nice old book for nothing (I usually bough books for 15 $). That’s why I do some book sourcing on designers-books.com

This post has inspired me to search local garage sales for dusty design gems that, for many years, may have gone unnoticed
