  1. I’ve seen him thrice live; as matthew dear (live instrumentation), matthew dear DJ set and as audion (his DJ alter ego) and all three were worlds apart yet unified in vision; both visually and auditorially.

It feels like this dude has been sent from the future to drop all this stuff on our ordinary lives; I’ll be at the Toronto show on the 18th at footwork where I saw him several years ago and he nearly blew the system due to the ferociousness of the low ends he was using during the encore.

you guys plan on going. monika is the queen.

yea visuals are coming up on a moment.
the growth in both sound and sight have heightened our awareness,
and it culminates in the cultivating of freaxxxy club energy.
    accelerating core to core collisions,
eyes, ears, spines, all connecting to the brain

    wrenching itself. to refocus.
    screwing clockwise to see more
    fully

    yo the visions excite us.
the lights among the dark dig deep into us with a piercing stare.
and we never turn down walking along the edge.

    nosaj
    zabiela
    die fischerpooner
    massive attack
    and further?

so many examples of people bending light and space.
so many of these subtle shadows who practice the avant magik on themselves, unknown.

you guys do it too –

    my headspace,
    it wobbles when i
    wead read
    wade (thru) ween weed
    raid (on) rear dear
    reign (over) dead deed
    the waters of iso50 !

Matthew Dear is a sloppy Dj. His supposed skill is confused with his ability to be creative in multiple other areas. Just because someone is good at singing or excellent at producing does not in anyway mean they are good at Djing, clearly proven by Mr. Dear.

    M –

boo hoo, you probably rock it 3 times a week around the world for the majority of the year too

  5. M says:

Jakub, be nice. No need to be so bias towards your friend. Criticism is healthy in a business where everyone kisses each others ass at the expense of quality, especially in the techno business where such behavior is rampant. We all know he’s a nice guy but just because he’s an amazing studio producer doesn’t mean he’s a quality Dj. We booked him 2 times here in the States along with 60 other acts & friends in the surrounding business, and he is sloppy, plain and simple. Try to be a bit more open minded to the idea he might not actually be a the greatest at everything he does, which is ok because he’s still an amazing producer and live performer, proven by our purchasing of his music on a regular basis.
