  1. That second to last photo looks like an awesome house to live in.

  2. Will says:

Cool imagery to go with the ‘article’, but this reads awfully like an ad/referral scheme.

  3. Tim says:

Good looking presentation, but as someone who loves the outdoors I’m not sure if it lived up to the hype. Only 9 Camping items?

The sleeping bag is rated for 50 degrees and runs at 130 bucks…

You also ripped the text straight from the “about us” part of the webpage.

There is no way to drive the bike with a surf board on it! I am too young to die…

  5. Scott says:

Cool imagery and design but it does read like a sponsored post.

Poler are on a real mission to elevate their brand and aim it at the exact kind of hip young dudes and dudettes that read ISO50. I can guarantee that their marketing team contacted ISO50 and gave them a bunch of free stuff in return for this shameless plug. Let’s just say I have ‘insider knowledge’.

  7. Cornelius says:

That’s not to say their stuff isn’t good btw, it really is (and no I’m not getting anything for saying that).

  8. Philip says:

Who cares if they WERE plugging this brand? I certainly don’t. I’ve never heard of Poler until this morning and I’ve already spent an inappropriate amount of precious work time rummaging through the adventures photography and their insanely cool tumblr. If anything, I’m thankful to have found this on ISO50. Thanks Collective.

  9. Collective says:

This post was out of pure appreciation for the product and the outdoors. We apologize if it came across any other way. There were no incentives involved. Please enjoy.

  10. Dan says:

I don’t mind the product placement at all. The adventure photography section of their website is Pretty Much Amazing.

  11. Benji says:

Hey, I didn’t send any gear in exchange for this post. Not that there is anything wrong with that if I had. In any case I am happy to have Poler featured on this blog, because I am a longtime fan of it myself. Thanks for the positivity regarding Poler in the comments from some of you. We just launched in November and have lots more in the works. —Benji

  12. Cornelius says:

My apologies for being off the mark. Like I say I love your products regardless and can see why ISO50 are also fans. I guess it just read like a sponsored advert. 🙂

  13. MSEA says:

What’s so great about cheesy, Chinese-made ripoffs and knockoffs of past and current brands? Maybe you should leave the cheap hipster-tip goods behind and celebrate quality, innovative, made-in-the-USA product instead. Rip-offed retro photos and loosely tracked Futura Bold Condensed do not great goods make.

  14. Brendan says:

I for one always try my best to support home grown brands who make their gear in their country of origin. We’ve skewed our manufacturing industries towards cheap Asian plasticy goods.

Nothing has wooden handles anymore! I miss wooden handles!
