Insect54 has some great shots of Schweizer Grafiker / Graphistes Suisses, a B&W masterpiece of 1960’s Swiss design.
“Designed by Siegfried Odermatt this book features a spread on every member of the VSG (association of Swiss graphic artists). It features many of the great names in Swiss modernist design: Müller-Broockmann, Fridolin Müller, Nelly Rudin, Max Schmid, Siegfried Odermatt, Hans Neuburg, Richard Paul Lohse. It even lists their addresses.”

Nice One!
I just like how the guys name is the same as my last name. That’s pretty sweet.
This is pretty amazing. I especially like the cover. That hand just looks so dark and shiny. I wonder if it really is or if it’s just the actual book itself that’s shiny.
@Aurel lol a “Grüezi” from “near the frontier to switzerland” and Josef Müller-Brockmann is a must for all of us.
This stuff is looking SO slick. Makin my toes curl
the book “corporate diversity” is getting a lot of play ’round my parts… you’d like it.

fuking grid system! LOVE IT! gosh the composition + balance is out of the world!!!!!!!!!! <3
How funny! Coincidentally, I just had the privilege of borrowing this same book last week from the library at the school where I teach. Lots of great stuff from famous and also unknown designers.
I found it very interesting and a bit moving to see all the photo portraits, listed addresses and professional credentials of these now almost mythical designers… yes, they were regular commercial artists like us after all!
(the shiny hand is just light reflecting on the gloss cover)
