Betty Wants In crafted this very unique skydiving video using a GoPro. It’s exceptionally peaceful; it makes skydivers look more like they’re floating gracefully underwater as opposed to plummeting through the windy stratosphere on their way toward terminal-velocity.
I’ve never used a GoPro, or gone skydiving for that matter, and now I really want to experience both. Mission accomplished Melbourne Skydive Centre.
Quite interested to know how was it possible to achieve the super-slow-mo with the gopro? 30fps at 1080p or 60fps at 720p. This looks more like 500fps. Know anything?
BettyWantsIn says in the video’s comments: “Yes all footage was shot on a gopro and slowed down with twixtor. We cant wait to see what people can do with this duo in the near future..”
Loooooove our gopro. This is beautiful. I am curious how it was shot too. I am assuming at 720p. . ?
They’re using tweening.
If you look closely, you can see that the actual playback FPS in the slow motion scenes is only around 2 or 3.

Ok, I just figured it out. They used Twixtor.
Skydiving is a total thrill and I recommend it you do it at least once. Its a pretty surreal experience, much like this video. The video is beautiful btw. nice choice of music too.
The other day when I found this video, I just so happened to be listening to Adrift. It is a more coherent pairing of music than what they chose.
Man… Incredible. Thanks for sharing.
holy hell, that shot at 1:05 is amazing.
That wasn’t human flight, that was “falling with style” lol
Wow. And that camera isn’t that expensive, $299 for 1080p it’s really cool
I think this was edited with twixtor, extreme slomo plugin for fcp and
After effects, works VERY good!
Great images, score and colour grade…
freefly all the way !!! \ o /
