Teen Daze has done it again by holding down some kind of coastal dream pop sound that is full of lush synth work, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I found The Bridal Shop by trying to find a Tough Alliance song that I wanted but no luck, I love when a good digital retailer sets up trails that makes you check out 10 or so new bands.
Ariel Pink steps it up like The Horrors did in this new driving direction, with huge praise from Pitchfork, this record will end up on a ton of Top Ten album lists. What I really like is the extras going on in the song, if it was straight forward I wouldn’t of shared this song with you, I would of just post some Joy Division.
More dreamy echoed out goodness, I just think this sound will be something i’ll always like, I guess I can blame growing up listening to a certain few spaced out tracks for that.

Yes, yes, like jb said, The Bridal Shop are fantastic! The hubs and I instantly fell in love with them a few years ago when we were on a search for new bands with The Field Mice sound. Good stuff.

It’s funny Bridal Shop and Boat Club are coming up together. For a whole year I had a song from each on just about every mix I made for people. It’s also a pain the arse trying to find hard copies of either one here in SF – had to order online.

that teen daze track premiered on a compilation by the blog “The Road Goes Ever On” called Small Summits (free mediafire download) Great stuff on that blog. Really great stuff on that compilation too.

junia, andre – thrilled to hear you guys are into Boat Club and Bridal Shop. those bands are instant winners in my book. i know that Boat Club has new material in the pipe…….but it’s rockier than their earlier stuff. as a music fan, i have such a soft spot for swedish pop. comforting to know others feel the same 🙂
