Sort of makes me want to watch star wars all over again and re-live child hood dreams of becoming a Jedi.

    These are really great.

  4. I agree with Shelby, but for goodness sake remember to forget those three prequel things and concentrate on watching the real McCoy =)

It’s brilliant because it’s often really subtle. As if it’s just natural that these characters are living and breathing in that world, and he happened to take a photo of them.

I wonder how they’re being rendered in; a pretty cool process I’m sure.

  6. As a big Star Wars nerd, I think these are awesome! He’s better watch out though- George Lucas might sue for copyright infringement 🙂

There are quite a few Star Wars composites popping up around the net, this is by far some of the best work I’ve seen. The ATAT is awesome!

I was scrolling through the blog and thinking of how grateful (once again) I am to ISO50 for mentioning it when I realized it’s based in my very own Minneapolis. Hurrah!

I think one of the main reasons I like this so much is that it’s exactly what I like so much about Halo; futuristic stuff set in the grit of reality.

I’m generally bothered by the fact that in most science fiction, all that exists are space ships and space ports. I was really happy in Starwars II, we got to see a bit more of the lower levels of society; take a break from star ships and see alien bars.

This is what will make Outskirts from Halo 2 one of my favorite video game levels ever; when a super-soldier is defending the earth against evil aliens, he’ll do it from the shadows of run down apartment buildings and bombed out parking garages thank-you-very-much.
