Some good stuff from Erlend Øye’s other project.I never get tired of hearing him over this sort of stripped down dance-rock.

From 02:43 to 02:58 in “Golden Cage” is my favorite passage of all the tracks on that album. Love it when the guitar comes into play there.
Hmm, ever listened to Kings Of Convenience? They’re always my choice when I need to calm down to some Easy Listening. A bit Simon & Garfunkel-ish, hehe. Great vocal work there as well in my opinion.
Joaquim-
for sure, koc is cool too, same vocalist = erlend oye….
Agreed. Erlend’s stuff is always top notch. Based on the music you always blog about, another band I think you would be very fond of is Royksopp. If you aren’t familiar with them, you should definitely check them out.
ryan-
yeah. definitely a royksopp fan… that reminds me I should post that video for eple…soooo good.
Scott –
Check out the Fred Falke remix of Golden Cage on youtube. Amazing french house.
The Golden Cage video is a really amazing hand drawn video… I am sure you’ve already checked it out, but if you haven’t it’s worth it. It’s my fav video aside from Smashing Pumpkins “Tonight”.

By the way, thanks for posting about these guys, I can’t seem to quit being made fun of for liking them.
Very fresh music .. spring is on it’s way here, and The Whitest Boy Alive fits right in.
Speaking of Royksopp, I adore the floathing house scenes in ‘ What else is there’ (love the video in general actually).
