    Hey Guys!

I’ve got “Walkabout” by Atlas Sound on my iPod, and the warm fuzzy sonic textures make it a treat to listen to. One song I haven’t seen on your lists yet is “Two Weeks” by Grizzly Bear. That jaunty piano riff that starts the song out and the infectious drumming make this a great song in my opinion. And even though he hasn’t put out any records in a year or so, I would definitely vote for Christopher Willits, especially his latest record, “Surf Boundaries”. Great sounds and experiments. Anyway, great job – the lists have been amazing!

  2. Salemid says:

I have been really impressed overall with the Top 50 so far, but the number 1 song is dreadful. Great job otherwise.

  3. Scott says:

Loving all the selections but I’d say that Toro Y Moi remix of Feel It All Around You should be top 3 at least!

  4. Dave Hulse says:

I really think Washed Out deserved that number 1 spot, but great list overall!

  5. Raymond says:

    Where is Little f’n Dragon?

  6. RJ says:

Yeah, Washed Out – Feel It All Around, great to see it up there, prob my number 1 (original that is)

  7. REUBER1 says:

That new Horrors track is extremely good. They have really evolved as a group, and for the better (I personally could not get into their first CD…way too meek). Primary Colours was excellent, can’t wait to get into their new work.

  8. Spencer says:

Definitely think washed out/toro y moi would be in my top 5 from this site.

  9. Tony says:

I prefer Washington School over Walkabout all in all Atlas Sound still made it in the top selection.

  10. icajan says:

  11. I too have Washed Out – Feel It All Around in my #1, with Bullion – Time For Us All To Love in a close second. Great list, thanks to Jakub and ISO50 Blog for introducing me to so much good new music! What a great year of new tunes.

  12. joe says:

Love the bottom 49… #1 really was pretty hard for me to listen all the way through… Thanks for the list!

  13. leon says:

the drums/stupid is the best song of year??? it would not be the best song of an hour in my list

  14. mg33 says:

It’s been an interesting journey through your list, but that #1 song is awful. What were you thinking? I’d rather listen to the abysmal Vampire Weekend instead of this.

  15. greg says:

    Broadcast — “The Be Colony”

That’s MY song of the year. Then again, your tastes are only very occasionally in line with my own.

  16. Reed says:

Yeah agreed, the drums should not have made number 1.

  17. J.P. says:

Agreed with the above comments about song #1, but overall loved the list. The top 10 definitely needs some Grizzly Bear and, yes, some Little Dragon would have been nice too.

  18. rent says:

washed out has become one of my anthems in the past months. the video is pretty richter as well. check it out if you haven’t seen it. http://www.vimeo.com/6692499

  19. Ted says:

Number one for this year would have to be
Jonathan Boulet – A Community Service Announcement (The Album Leaf Remix).
    Was an epic top 50.

  20. Listening to The Horrors – Whole New Way and then listening to the Saint Eteinne – The Palace track that you have in the play list on the upper right and I notice a very similar melody between the two… anyone else notice this?

  21. alex says:

the drums? really? I’m not sure why ripping off a genre that was terrible to begin with works 20 years later. at least the horrors are building on something.

rustie, fever ray, or grizzly bear could have taken #1 easily.

  22. AndresM says:

In defense of The Drums, Let’s Go Surfing was my #2 song of the year. aaand just for some context 😉
