so awesome…so are you mixing both the audio and video at the same time with VDMX or are you using it just for video and playing audio separately in a different program?

    Scott, your insane 🙂

  9. Awesome Scott – thanks for posting! Do you ever (or can you?) increase the sensitivity of VDMX so that the visuals have more obvious reactions to the music/beat? I like how you’ve got it at the moment – it’s nice and fluid, which suits that track.

    jayden-
everything is literally being performed and effected live, all the transitions. during that particular set, VDMX was not interpreting incoming audio. I plan to create some transitions and effects that can be triggered by the music coming up, but for now it’s by hand. I used to trigger the visuals with the music but it wasn’t all there yet so I stripped it down for this set. but like you said, the music has a fluid vibe to it, so it’s not like super sharp transitions and timing is really suited to it anyways.

  11. Scott –
Thanks… VDMX sounds great. Will have to check it out. I saw Gotye do something similar to your visuals at a recent live performance – he was controlling it all from a Macbook.

Off topic, but take a look at BeatMaker on the iPhone for some portable beat creation magic. There’s a short YouTube vid here:
