Vintage NHL Media Guides

I still do my best to be a hockey fan these days but i’m kind of over it for the most part but I was an insane collector of NHL(mainly Vancouver Canucks and Pavel Bure) memorabilia when I was a little kid though. I saw these posted on facebook and I had to share since some of the layouts, pretty unbeatable compared to whats out there these days.

You sure did love bure. No doubt about that.

  2. Larry says:

That Canada/Russia one is fantastic! I can only imagine how awesome the interior layouts are.

  3. I had always wondered why the Calgary Flames had such a stylized A on their jerseys. Never knew it was from the Atlanta Flames.

  4. James says:

That Nordiques de Quebec one at first glance I thought was some sort of ad for the original Tron. Haha. Then I realized it was a hockey helmet…

  5. Andrew says:

The Canada/Russia one is my favorite of the set.

haha, I’m a Canucks fan myself, I hope this year will be another great year for us.

  6. Matthias says:

Had to reply to this. Formula 1 and now also hockey – exactly the kinds of sport I like (to watch)!

Love the one with the glove. It’s so futuristic.

I am btw the Austrian guy from the Moodgadget Showcase. You have given me The Rorschach Suite. It’s great! Thanks again!

  7. Paul Pants says:

These are beautiful, the lack of restraint in sports marketing today really contrasts with this stuff. The Colorado Rockies Yearbook is just perfect.

  8. Eric Carl says:

    Holy crap, Atlanta Flames FTW.

  9. Vince says:

beautiful post ! love the design of these long lost teams !

  10. Grant says:

The comparison between that gorgeous Colorado Rockies cover and the absolutely fugly branding of our current baseball team by the same name makes me sad. So much lost opportunity.

  11. Another Canucks fan here, love it when you put up retro hockey stuff. In fact i have to say the last few weeks have been some of the best on iso50 in ages 🙂
